How-to guide

Assess progress and award a level

Publish criteria, capture evidence and make an explicit progression decision.

For Authorised managers and instructors

Before you start Pro or Club vertical operations and scope for the participant and framework.

Publish a framework#

A progression framework defines the levels and criteria your academy uses. Published versions retain their meaning even when a later version changes the standard.

  1. Open Activities → Progress & reports.
  2. Create a framework with ordered levels and criteria. Criteria may use evidence, attendance, elapsed time or a manual decision.
  3. Review and publish the framework version before using it for formal assessment.
  4. Associate the appropriate framework with the relevant learning activity.

Record and review evidence#

Create an assessment for the intended participant, framework version and target level. Record the outcome and criterion evidence with the correct visibility.

Readiness indicators help the reviewer; they do not issue an award by themselves. An authorised person must record the award. If a previous award was wrong, use the supported correction/supersession path so the history remains interpretable.

Share the useful result#

Check what the participant or guardian can see. Private assessment notes should remain private. A Kelab level records your academy's decision, not a federation or external qualification.
