## Work, evidence and communication

A development programme gives a participant work to follow and progress to record. A progression framework defines levels and criteria. An assessment records evidence against a particular version of those criteria. An award is an explicit authorised decision.

A lesson report explains what happened in a session, the outcome and any homework. Its published family-facing content is separate from private staff notes. None of these records should be presented as automatic external certification.

## Why versions matter

Changing a curriculum should not silently change the meaning of an earlier assessment. Publishing a new report should leave it clear what families were shown and when.

Use readiness signals to support judgement, then record the actual decision. Publish only the information the family needs; keep restricted notes in the proper field. Families see the records and versions their relationship and the academy's publication state permit.
